Internal auditing is a very important process in the public sector because it is through auditing that the management gets to know whether organizations' internal controls are in place and sound, financial records are accurate, and the risk control measures are effective. The main role played by internal audit processes is to ensure that businesses in the public sector achieve their goals while safeguarding their assets (Zou, 2019). Ideally, an effective internal audit translates improved governance process risk control and management. I am interested in internal auditing because it is the main determinant of a business enterprise's success or failure. For instance, investors will first want to go through the auditor's report before giving financial support to a firm (Christopher, 2019). On the same note, organizations shareholders rely on the auditor's report for the certainty of profits from their investment.
