Assignment Details:  Select a topic of relevance to astrobiology research. It can come from topics discussed in class but your paper should go into more depth and provide an explanation of a recent theoretical model or discovery which potentially challenges the currently accepted scientific paradigm. You must reference recent literature in peer reviewed journals and demonstrate mastery of the relevant scientific principles. Your report has to be at least 3,000 words, excluding figure legends and references.
