In part B, you will analyze a news article from print or online media Part A: Mercedes_Data Set-2 (PART A).xlsx 1. Your analysis on the diesel and fuel cars must contain the following (using Excel): a. Draw the line chart for fuel efficiency of diesel and petrol cars on the same graph and comment based on the graph. b. (i) Provide a table of comparison with all the measures of Central Tendency of petrol and diesel cars fuel efficiency. (ii) Out of all the above measures, choose only one best measure to analyze the fuel efficiency of petrol and diesel cars. c. (i) Provide a table of comparison with all the measures of Variation of petrol and diesel cars. (ii) Out of all the above measures, choose only one best measure to analyze the fuel efficiency of petrol and diesel cars. d. Draw and analyze the Histograms of fuel efficiency of petrol and diesel cars. e. Draw and analyze the Box-and-Whisker plot of fuel efficiency of petrol and diesel cars. 2. Provide the conclusion by answering the Case study question supported by at least 3 results you have found in part 1. Write you conclusion in an unbiased manner which can be understood by a non-technical audience. 3. For this part of the assessment, you will select any recent article (within 2 years) written in English from a print or online news source that involves data and statistical findings using descriptive measures/graphs. Some example of reliable sources of appropriate articles in Vietnam include Vietnam News, VNExpress International, Tuoi Tre News, Vietnam Insider. You may also access articles from newspapers via online databases from library. An example of couple of the most commonly available systems that can provide worldwide access to newspapers are NewsBank and ProQuest. You are free to use any articles from reliable source from Vietnam or internationally. The statistical articles can be on topics such as health, public policy, politics, lifestyle and many more. Some of the example articles on Statistics can be found here. None of the students are allowed to choose the same article and you have to state the title of your article in the spreadsheet shared by your lecturer. Be sure to include the source of your article (if using online media) or the picture of your article (if it is from print media) either in the reference page or under your article in the main document. Using the concepts learnt in the course so far, summarize and analyze the article chosen by you. Your synopsis on article analysis should be written in paragraph form covering the answers to below questions with a maximum of two-page description (The original news article is NOT counted in this two-page description). The analysis should be written in non-technical language and make sure that your article analysis demonstrates thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts learnt in the course. Address the following questions in your critical analysis while writing the synopsis: 1) What is the article about and how accurately does the title reflect the findings of the article? 2) What is the source of data collection and the population of the article? 3) What type of data is being examined in the article selected and is it appropriate? 4) What descriptive measure is/are used, and what do they illustrate? Include specific examples from the article.
