Paper: This minimum 5 to 6 page paper. FULL PAGES! (not including title, abstract, and reference pages) is to reflect the student’s comprehensive thinking using a vignette the instructor will provide. APA style is required; it must conform to APA requirements. The student will select one of the following: psychoanalytic, person-centered (Rogerian), or cognitive behavioral therapy. A Christian worldview is to be included. The application paper is meant to demonstrate what the student has learned regarding the self of the therapist, assessment considerations, cultural diversity issues, the alliance, the role of the therapist, theoretical model, treatment plan considerations, evaluation of therapy, and the use of a faith perspective in assessment and treatment of the client. A writing rubric is included in this syllabus and will be used to assess the assignment.  This assignment must conform to APA style and standards and must include as a minimum: a. Title page b. Abstract c. Running head d. Citations of sources (within the text) e. Reference page f. Word count (comment section of assignment upload on Blackboard) -Papers not conforming will be reduced in grade. Use the Psychology Writing Rubric (on last page of this syllabus) as a guide.  -Returned assignments may only earn up to 80% of total points possible for assignments that are required a rewrite. -Submit electronically in Word (.doc) or (.docx) using the “Assignments” content area of Blackboard.
